I've been called a bully - what can I do?
You may feel upset and confused about why someone has said you’ve been bullying someone.
If you are not sure if you have bullied someone, think about how you have been treating others. Even if you don't think it's bullying, someone may have been hurt or upset by something you did or said.
Bullying – no matter how or why it happens – can really hurt people, including the person who’s bullied, the person doing the bullying and even the people watching.
No one gets things right all the time and doing something wrong doesn’t make you a bad person. We can all change how we behave.
If you have bullied someone, it can be a sign that there might be something going on in your life that you’re finding hard to deal with, or that you might be struggling to manage your feelings. You don’t have to deal with this alone. There are people who can help you to make things better.
If you’re worried that you might have bullied someone, talk to a trusted adult, like a parent, a teacher or a family member about it. They can help you to work out what’s happened and help you to make things right.
